- What is the point of DIY and Foldable?
long answer short why not? sure, it has large learning curve with satisfaction of making own things.so there are already available 450 size frames on market but they are not foldable also if you get frame which is foldable it leads to bit expensive. this frame has less weight and also less cost.
- Frame
so frame composed of as always wood and aluminum channels. talking for wood you go for thin ply wood and half inch aluminum channels. length of channel is 6 inch. this length is for reference if yours having interference with each than you cut it down wisely. drill holes according to your motor mount.
so print pdf given in the link below and print it on A4 size paper with 1:1 scale in print settings it is very important other wise you mess up dimensions. the foot print of frame top and bottom plate is 5x5 inch which is plenty for putting things like flight controller and so on.do not forget to modify frame for your purpose like drilling holes for camera gimble etc.

I know it looks ugly but you can do it better the nuts and bolts are used 2 inch. length is depends on your wish for space between two plates.
it weights about 246gm which is 50gm less than 3D printed F450 frame you reduce more by removing more wood and also using light weight not bolts too.
